The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) is set to invite teams that will qualify for the 2010 World Cup to face the national team, Taifa Stars. TFF secretary general Frederick Mwakalebela, made the remarks when responding to suggestions that the national team be sent to the World Cup finals to gain a convincing experience. "That needs a lot of money, but we promise to invite some big teams that will take on Taifa Stars," Mwakalebela said. He said the Stars could learn through various means apart from going to South Africa. "Our players can learn just here without necessarily going to South Africa. By the approach, we might find ourselves wasting our valuable resources by sending players who are not trainable," he said. According to him, the federation would weigh up the cost of inviting the teams and make decisions. "We would like to play the European teams, but if their demands are too high, then we will turn to African giants," Mwakalebela said. He added: "Everyone would be pleased if we face the World Cup champions, but that's not possible." The Stars have never qualified for the World Cup finals. Their dreams have throughout been vanishing in initial stages. However, he was optimistic that the team could make wonders and qualify for the 2014 World Cup finals. "We have set appropriate strategies to guarantee our place in the 2014 finals," he said. The World Cup finals are slated to kick off on June 11 next year in South Africa
