COPA COCA COLA'S DEFFENDING CHAMPIONS WON AGAIN 4-2 AGAINST AFRICAN'S U-17 YOUTH COMBINE IN PRETOREA-SOUTH AFRICA

SERENGETI Boys ya Tanzania imeendeleza ubabe wake nchini Afrika Kusini kwa kuichaza kombaini ya wachezaji waalikwa wa Afrika kwa mabao 4-2.
Ushindi huo wa vijana ya Tanzania U-17 unafanyika baada ya kuzi kutoa onyo kali kwa wapinzani wake kwenye michuano hiyo ya Afrika Copa Coca-Cola kwa kuwasambaratisha Ethiopia 5-0 katika mchezo wa ufunguzi uliochezwa kwenye uwanja wa Absa mjini Pretoria jana.
Mabao mawili ya mapema yaliyofungwa kombani ya Afrika kupitia washambuliaji wake, Sello Caiphas dakika ya 8 na Lucky Mukare (22) yalitosha kuonyesha ubora wa timu ya Tanzania.
Wakiwa nyuma kwa mabao hayo, Serengeti Boys ilisawazisha mabao hayo kupitia Sadiki Gaulaza dakika 40, kabla ya Lambele Jerome kufunga mabao mawili ( 48, 60) na Adili Adam kukamilisha karamu hiyo.
Kocha wao, Rodrigo Stokler alisema," Wachezaji wangu walianza kucheza kivivu na kuwadharau wapinzani wao, lakini baadaye walikuwa imara na nilibadili mfumo kutoka 4-4-2 na kutumia 4-3-3 na hapo tukapata mafanikio

Defending Champions Copa Coca-Cola under-17 team when they kicked off the Inter-Africa championship opener by 5-0 rout of Ethiopia at Absa Stadium in Pretoria, yesterday.The Tanzanian boys sent shockwaves to the rest of the teams competing in the tourney as the holders took a giant 3-0 goals lead up to half time.Joseph Mahundi opened the floodgates as early as the 9th minute before skipper Himid Mkami scored the second goal after 33 minutes. Three up was the score as Issa Rashid had his name into the score sheet five minutes before progressing to the dressing rooms.On resumption, Ethiopians looked more determined to narrow the margin but Murshid Rashid proved them wrong with a fourth goal, six minutes later.Playing at an astounding composure, the Tanzanian boys deployed a dazzling display of attacking football with impressive ball possession.Mohamed Marzuk combined well upfront to seal off the fifth goal for Tanzania after 63 minutes, ahead of their second match against Africa Invited that was expected to be played later in the evening.Africa Invited Team is made up of two players from Mozambique, Congo DRC (2), Rwanda (2) and host South Africa (8). According to the fixtures, Tanzania will play Malawi this morning and Namibia later in the afternoon. Brazilian coach Rodrigo Stockler who took the team barely ten days ahead of the tourney, described the mammoth victory as the result of his players paying keen attention to his instructions. “I am very proud of my boys and I believe we will perform better than this in the following matches”, he said. However, the coach declined to underrate any of competing teams saying the tournament was very competitive ‘and this victory will not make us overconfident in anyway’
