Zanzibar Heroes head coach Badr Eldin has joined Egyptian top flight side of Zamalek after ending his three year contractual tenure.Eldin was left behind in Cairo where Zanzibar Heroes team spent three weeks of sporting entourage before they boarded a return flight on Saturday.Zanzibar Football Association spokesman Hamad Maulid said the Egyptian government has pledged to avail Zanzibar with another coach in the near future.Eldin was training the Karume Boys under-17 team that eventually join the senior team as age took its toll. No specific date has been mentioned for the availability of the new coach, but Hamad said the Egyptian government is firm in its decision.Maulid said Zanzibar Heroes team played nine matches in their tour , won six, drew one and lost twice. The team won against Egyptian under-19 national team by 3-2, beat Petro Jet club 2-1 and triumphed against a combine of African professionals based in Cairo by 2-1goals.

According to Maulid, another sporting tour is set for September where the team would train in Germany for a month. Maulid said the team is also gearing up for the Senior Challenge Cup set for Nairobi later this year.
