NGORONGORO HEROES VS NIGERIA U20 SECOND ROUND

Tanzania (Ngorongoro Heroes) has made it to second round of the 18th Africa U20 Championship despite losing 2-1 to host Sudan in a return leg match played on Saturday at the Khartoum International Stadium.
The Sudanese who lost 3-1 to the visitors in a first leg match played two weeks ago in Dar es Salaam are out on 4-3 aggregate. Playing before home crowd, Sudan was the first to score in the 10th minute.
Mohamed Abdelrahman Yousif scored through a close range off a clearance ball in the left flank. Tanzania back line under central defender Dizana Yarouk caught was shaky for almost 20 opening minutes.
However, it took Tanzania two minutes reply when Democratic Republic of Congo’s TP Mazembe striker Thomas Ulimwengu to level matter with a sizzling shot that gave no chance to Sudan goalie Kur Albino Mior.
Sudanese started second half vigorous with series of attacks to their opponent goal area. Their efforts paid dividend in the 65th minute when referee Aden Abdi Djamal from Djibouti awarded them a penalty.
The Djibouti ordered a spot kick when defender Dizana Yarouk handled a ball inside the box in a bid to clear a right flank cross taken by Mohamed Bashier. Substitute Ahmed Nasr converted the penalty.
Five Tanzania players were booked for offences committed during 90 minutes of play against one Sudanese.
Tanzania will now face Nigerians in the second round. First match will be played on 28th day of July at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam. Return leg will be two weeks later.
